I found a great use for my old racing helmet. Deep freeze, windy days. No ventilation does a great job keeping the old noggin warm.

With a box of toe and hand warmers, my toes are happy, even though a good boot fitting was supposed to work

What are your secrets to staying warm? And don't say "going to the bar!" :dontknow:

The North Face Gore-Tex shell a size up in a size large with a size medium puffy down TNF nuptse jacket zippered in instead of the light liner jacket it came with (decade old set up from before 800 fill down sweaters). Warm hat under hood. 600 down fill mittens. Fleece pants under looser fitting Gore-Tex shell pants. Heavier socks. Used boot covers in my teens back when winters were actually cold, they help. Face mask. liner (running), gloves in shell pocket just in case, comes in handy when digits are needed.
