when do you get out

I try for first tracks both days on weekends- wife permitting. Sometimes she doesn't like my nagging, so have to back off a little. Ski till 11 or so, have lunch, then go back out till mid afternoon, or as conditions warant. I usually will ski 3 or 4 nights during the week also for a couple hours a night.
Also, planning on going to the river on sunday.

On-duty: I'm there from First to last. (Although if I drove up that morning, I'm not usually riding first chair, unless there's fresh.)

If I'm free skiing, it depends. I get there wehn I get there and leave when I have to leave. I know that sounds stupid, but many times I don't get out of work until 8:00, but wil still drive up for half a day. Other times, I have to be back for an OT night shift and have to be back for a 6:00PM start.

I almost never do weekends.

For day skiing, I try to get up around 9 and ski till 4. For night skiing at Wa, I get there at 3 and stay till 7 or get there at 6 and stay till 10. 4 hours is enough for that place.

I like to get out near first chair, eat lunch at 1 (smaller crowds) and then stay out till last chair:)

Also get out near the girst chair. Go in at 11:25 for lunch and ride till the last chair.

Last night had a blast and went to crotched at 8pm and skiinged till 3am. The was some serious night skiing.

Thats very respectable. the 1.5 hour drive and early arrival. I would be stopping often with the six pack. :D

On the lifts @opening. The huge improvement in my bootfit and toe warmers, along with a small pack (water, food)...I'm now just hangin' out with company on the mtn. @lunchtime, then taking it easy in the afternoon...

ttrain: Nights can be sensational, any wind has usually died off...and the speed demons are usually either gone, or on the race course.

Does anyone change their arrival time depending on the weather? I went XC skiing yesterday and got to the trails right after opening at 9 AM, but after sliding around on the hardpack in the morning I was wondering if it would have been better to wait until later in the day when the snow softened up.

I stay pretty much the same on my arrival time. One exception is when NCP
might have taken place at night and I'm waiting for groomers to bring it back after freezing up..
