Times two..and guys remember..I had the first skiing TR on here last season...

We got in way more vertical:

Gluey snow, but that was fun and I'd do it again. However, I think 2 feet of snow in the Catskills in October is like a once every ten years kinda thing...

Way fun! It'll happen again this year, and when it does we'll be all over it!

Mountain Creek usually opens around the middle of Dec with limited trails (usually just the greens on South), with the rest of the mountain opening closer to New Years.

That's why this year I hope to learn to telemark, to give me something to do in the month of Dec.

MC has a countdown on their website to opening day. A little math on my part reveals that they're going to try to open on Sat, Dec 5. Last year they tried to open on the first weekend of Dec, but had to push it back a week due to lack of snow. Hopefully this year won't be a problem.

Camelback opened Thanksgiving weekend with close to 50% of the mountain open. That was thanks to a great cold snap and a good aggressive snowmaking plan. If it's cold enough they blow. What I've heard though is that we are transitioning from a La Nina to El Nino pattern which favors the back side of the winter.
