I don’t like to wear a fanny pack or back pack while skiing. I wear a vest with four pockets and keep my glasses, cell, wallet, keys in those pockets. In my jacket pockets I keep my camera, radio, power bar and any miscellaneous stuff I might need.

This isn’t a very efficient system for me because I’m always forgetting what pocket I put each item in.

What’s your system?

I've got pretty much the same system you've got; everything in my pockets. My cell is in my pants pocket along with my wallet. In my jacket pocket I'll usually have a small snack and maybe a drink.

my philosophy is if you can't remember which pocket you put something into, you are carrying too much stuff while skiing  pretty simple for myself: keys and wallet goes into left chest pocket and camera goes into inside right pocket (mesh which keeps cam warm due to body heat). if i have the video cam, i have an inside mesh left pocket. sometimes i bring an apple, that goes in which ever pocket is the least bulky.

other jacket options bring various alternatives. my wind breaker has only one chest pocket and the regular pockets double as vents, so in that case... keys zipped in pants right pocket and wallet zipped in pants left pocket, cam in jacket chest pocket.

Let's see:

Jaeger in left upper jacket pocket
Camera in right Upper Jacket pocket
Herb in left sleeve pocket
Lock in right lower jacket pocket
Powerbars in right lower jacket pocket
Carkeys in Right pants pocket
Wallet in back pants pocket
Cell phone, doesn't belong on the mountain.

And still got pockets leftover for misc. stuff.

Honestly I put my wallet in my zippered jacket pocket and leave everything else in my bag in the lodge. I stuff the rest of my pockets with a couple beers and Im good to go. Why do you need all that crap with you on the mt? Cell phones are useless on most of the mtns I ride, and I dont have an ipod. So yeah, beer and the wallet for me.

I'm a big fan of beer, but always after skiing, never during.

I thought this was the annual "how do you store your skis in the off-season" thread. Anyway - for me, keys in left pant pocket, wallet in right. Camera in right jacket pocket, cell phone in chest pocket. That's about all I need. The left jacket pocket is extra for maybe a powerbar, or a balaclava or a place to store my helmet vents if I get too warm. I'm a sober skier as well...

I'm guessing this is for the pasta sauce you throw together after a long day on the mountain. Which mountain do you call home? ;-)

My bibs have two small pockets....

....one for emergency car key, one for $$/CC/Ins. Card.

Shell has:
-Lower arm pocket - lip / lozenge
-Upper arm pocket - $$
-Napoleon pocket - wallet
-left bucket pocket - glove liners, zip on hood, helmet liner if cold, shades if potentially sunny, powerbar(s).
-Right bucket pocket - Car keys on integral clip thingy.
-Interior pocket - digital camera, extra battery, ipod (helmet is Giro 9/Tune ups). Keeping battery operated items near core body warmth extends battery life vs. more exposed outer pockets.

-in Fanny Pack: Suzy Chapstick. Okay, I don't use fanny pack.

-Osprey switch inner hydropack backpack if long day and I don't want to stop. Food inside that.
-Full Osprey set up for longer/backcountry/carry stuff for kids.
