Where abroad have you, or do you plan, to ski. Abroad meaning overseas (so not canada)

I'm hoping to get to ski in france or switzerland eventually. Specially, I want to go to L'Espace Killy, or la Grave, both in France. Et toi?

We've done two trips to Austria. One to Lech which is in the Arlberg and one to Saalbach. Loved the whole experience. The Alps have so much aspect and are just stunning, and Austria is not even the really high alps. We'd love to go back to Lech. I'd also really like to go to Zermatt and somewhere in the Italian Dolomites. Costs from the East coast were very comparable to a trip out west, however the current excange rates are making Europe less attractive economically.

Ty and I skied "Ski Adamello" - passo Tonale (Italy) on 7/12/04

How was that? When we were in Italy I wanted to hit Tonale, but it didn't quite work out. We stayed in Andallo, and hit Madona and Folgaria, but ran out of time to go out again. Folgaria is amazing for its size and scope, but Andallo/Paganella were more than sufficient to keep us busy all day. And I do mean ALL day.

Other than that, the only place I've skied outside the US is outside of Beijing, but we've covered that one.

Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

I'd love to get to New Zealand and South America at some point. Also France, Italy and Slovenia.

We stumbled across it accidentally - notice the date. Ty's brother lives in Cagno (Val Di Non) about an hour away, and we were just going over there to take some pics etc. We went into the bar at the base lodge and Ty said "Hey - the sign says "Summer skiing". So we asked the guy about it and he told us they ski on the glacier up top (about 10K feet or so) every day from 9 AM to 1 PM.

So we came back a few days later with a bunch of borrowed ski clothes. We rented some gear and did about 10 or 15 runs. you have to take: The Tram, then a chairlift, before you're actually at the glacier. Then you basically have 2 t-bars. The Italian national alpine team was actually running gates while we were there. That was a hoot.

Unfortunately I was 9 and too young to really appreciate it, but we went to the Interlaken region. The only thing I remember about it was the sheer size of the four interconnected areas was unbelievable. I imagine the only thing that comes close this side of the pond would be Whistler.

When I was 16, I too skied this region. Stayed a few nights in Grindlewald and a few nights in Interlaken. The Jungfrau Region consists of the ski towns of Grindlewald, Wengen, and Murren (from Bond's "On Her Majesty's Secret Service") The Monch, Eiger and Jungrau peaks dwarf the areas below and the train to threw the rock and glaciers goes to the highest train station in Europe atop Jungfrau. This is one of the most beautiful places in the world.

I've also been fortunate to ski Verbier in Switzerland, Les Trois Vallees in France, Cortina in Italy, and both Zee Am Zee and Kaprun in Austria. And as I was living in London, I took the chance to ski in Scotland - very interesting to say the least.

The only place abroad that I've experienced was Norway. I was there on a trip, so I spent one day at Voss and another at a much smaller place, but sadly I forget the name of it.

Bump.

Because I'm trying to decide between Zermatt and Zell am See/Kaprun for beginning of March. Need both good skiing and worthwhile apres. Any thoughts?
