Where is it snowing today?

So we've seen the pics from K-Ton and Sugarbush... the snow is obviously coming down there.. However, i've looked at several radar loops (weather.com accuweather.com) and it looks like all rain (except for VERY northern Maine).

Is it an elevation thing? a latitude thing?

Is it raining or snowing at places like Sunday River / Mt. Snow (that were / are planning to open this weekend)?

Anyone have any insight?
