Where to go this weekend

Sorry meant to make this a new topic. Ok so I'm trying to get out again this coming weekend but I'm not sure where to go. I'd like to try someplace new but also don't want to spend a ton on lift ticket or go somewhere that I won't like or end up somewhere where the snow isn't so hot lately. Sounds like southern vermont is doing better than northern right now. So far this year I've skied sugarbush, okemo, magic and pico. Really liked the woods at pico, they were definitely more mellow than those I've seen in the past. Looks like liftopia has tickets for several places for around 50 for this weekend (including mad river glen, which is about as far as I would go for a day). Any suggestions?

Check back Wed night/ Thursday AM to see where the weather event Tuesday PM through Wed PM does the least amount of likely damage and then go from there

Magic is hosting a snowmobile race both days. At best it will be merely noisy.

Is it supposed to be something other than snow? I've only seen snow in the forecast

$52 okemo tickets this weekend if you were able to get your club card. if bad weather does set in they'll do a good job recovering (at least trails, not woods)

$66 @ mount snow with the card on Saturday. $56 on Sunday. if you liked Okemo you'll like Mount Snow, mellow woods available.

Unfortunately he said they sold out of the memberships for the year

Is there bad weather in the forecast? The only thing I'm seeing is a warm up to high thirties mid week and snow several days

Most models tend to be in agreement that some mixing and or outright rain for a period of time "mid storm" before going back to snow at the end, basically all the way up to Montreal, even at elevation, is likely during the day on Wednesday

If it wasn't for this weather event... I'd wholeheartedly recommend Bolton Valley. If you like Pico woods you'll love Boltons... and Bolton has some woods that'll put you to the test as well (Devils Playground, Preacher Woods, Lost Boyz woods and many of the lines below "the middle mountain".

Since there is a weather event to watch, I guess we'll be keeping an eye on that because nobody wants to ski glare ice..

Maybe I'm just optimistic, but I'm seeing some forecasts for Tuesday into Wednesday with no change over from snow. Maybe northern areas will be spared or even make out well?

The Weather Channel is giving a favorable forecast for northern VT. Above freezing temps but no rain on Wednesday.

Two day tickets this coming weekend are $80 at Burke, $85 at MRG, $100 at Smuggs and $105 at Jay, all through liftopia. You can't go wrong at any of them. With the incoming weather "event", which looks like nothing more than a few hours of above freezing temps and possibly a bit of drizzle to me, the further north you go the better. I am thinking possibly Burke or Cannon myself depending on the outcome.

Burke sounds like a great deal if you can find cheap lodging. Have you ever been there? It's fantastic with good snow

I'm in the same boat as rocks860. I have Friday - Sunday booked in Burlington with my wife and kids. Waiting to hear what happens on Wednesday but it looks like Northern Vermont may be spared. The warmups elsewhere look to be short lived and any liquid is around a tenth of an inch. Then a rapid re-freeze. Not ideal but far from a disaster. Keep positive!!!

I'll only be skiing saturday but the 49 dollar ticket at mrg sounds a lot better than 80+ bucks at mount snow or okemo

Looks like it should be really nice temperature wise on Saturday too
