where to stay in Stratton for a week?

accomodations needed for 2 couples for one week in Feb. or March. Best way to rent a condo besides calling Stratton directly? This would be a Sun PM to Friday AM stay. Any other suggestions?

I think you should check the by-owner web sites. VRBO.com and CyberRentals.com are the best known. Condos sit empty midweek other'n Presidents Week so you should be able to negotiate a good deal on a 5-day midweek rental. If you book through the resort or a rental agent, they take 40% or more off the top for fees and cleaning. From an owner midweek, they'll gladly take your money at a time when the unit usually sits empty.

I would still check with the resort. Despite the high cost for single-day lift tickets, Stratton runs some pretty good lift/lodging packages. I've actually taken my family there in the past because they had the best deals of any Vermont resort.

The rental sites are a good suggestion. Also, may want to check the Vermont Craigslist as they have rental property listings as well.
