The first time skiing was at the sledding hill at the local high school in Burlington, CT. The first time at an actual ski area was at Ski Sundown in New Hartford, CT sometime in the mid 80's I guess it was.

Big Vanilla, all 350 vert of it in 1978. I didn't try it again until 3 years later at Hunter, then 2 years later at Camelback. Then just gave up......until 10 years later. And now look whats it done to me.

My back yard in ME when I was two in 1970/71. First mountain was either Sugarloaf or the Colby Ski Hill at about the same time.

Otis Ridge is a small ski area in Otis, Mass. I haven't been there since I was a kid, but I guess it still exists.

First time on skis was the next house up from mine on Upper Main Street in Waterville ME, early '60's. I think the skis had a rubber loop you put your feet through. First lift service may have been the Colby ski hill. I really don't remember.
