Mohonk..or Minnewaska is where I'm going snowshoeing on Saturday. I hike there a lot. You are lucky to live so close! I love that area.

Thanks I take a run for you tomorrow. This past October I bought a season parking pass for Mohonk and went several times beautiful. Got get an okay bike for biking their this spring . So much fun. I live on the hill about 16 mile journey to Mohonk or Minneska. Love this area. Close to Sams Point to which I haven't done yet. Have great time Saturday snow shoeing. I want to try that.

Snowshoeing is nice because you can enjoy the snow and hike. It's a cheap alternative to skiing.

You are so lucky to live there in the Gunks. I must go up there every 2 weeks to camp and hike. Camping is rather limited but there's a nice campground outside Rosendale. Cheap too. :thumbsup:

I will check out your trip report. I've hiked quite a bit at Mohonk. I love the rock scrambles Minne is my favorite for hiking. I want to check out Sam's as well.

Looking forward to that powder at Hunter! Now to go to bed so I'm not too tired to enjoy it.
