Even if you could afford it, you'd have to invest almost more into it just to get people to come and STAY.

Talking about advertisements, promotions, gimmicks, all which add up to more $ out of your pocket with no guarantee it will be replaced.

Jack Kurlander built the Hidden Valley ski area.

Hidden Valley has been the training ground for some great skiers.

Donna Weinbrecht learned how to ski there. She won the FIRST Gold medal for mogul skiing in the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville!

IF the local interest here in Sussex County does go ahead with the rumored purchase of Hidden Valley for 3.0mil, there is still bucketsfull of money necessary to get the place up-and-running for the coming season. My understanding is that the snow-making equipment has been reposessed due to non-payment. A small ski area in NW NJ won't have much chance of viability without some major snow-making ability.

Maple Valley's got a few fan guns they'll probably let go cheap.
