Who do you think will be next to open or re- open and why? This may get changed to a poll.

I think Bretton Woods. They are slightly ahead with the snow making and have been stating early Nov opening all along.

Killington and Okemo definitely won't be open this weekend. There's a warmup coming Saturday-Tuesday which will hamper all snowmaking efforts, but it'll be out of here by mid next week. We probably won't see anyone open until next Firday at least.

The good news is after this warmup, temps are supposed to go WAY down as a result of a pattern reversal and that may lead to a lot of resorts opening. I'd be willing to bet most resorts aiming for a November 25th opening will get it.

New here so take my opinion as you will...I think 11/15 is a bit wishful after the warm up this weekend. Sunday/Monday nights are looking hard to blow anything. After that, I think it will be a mad dash. I expect rivercOIL to be about right with Friday. Maybe someone (Kmart?) will try to flex their muscles and go for Thursday.

This weekend will be dedicated to another leg workout, watching more ski porn, and checking out Higher Ground.

Welcome Bosefius!

I predict that Killington will be the next to open next Friday. Some others will open the same day as well...

Tim Kelley(NECN) said on his Thurs day night 9.30pm and 10pm news cast bretton woods to open Sat. We shall see an early am phone call is in order.
Nothing on the web page yet.
I still have a slim hope for the River. Russ the forecaster over there posted the decision probably would be made at a 11 am snow making meeting today. Sounds like I might be skiing Sat somewhere after all. Hopes not to high until I get conformation.

I think a lot of places will do their damnedest to open next weekend.

It is the weekend before Thanxgiving. The race to be permanantly open will be on.

Remember how hot it was in August?

Ski season is only weeks away!

Being a little choosy, aren't we?

Don't blame you...as much as I want to get out there and get my ski legs back again, a long trip to northern NH just isn't worth it...
