I had a good morning of skiing at Loon today - 8 runs and my legs were toast - but I am hoping to get one maybe two more days in before calling it quits for the season. I would love to head up to Tucks, but I'm just a little out of shape for that. It's looking like either this Friday will be it or possibly one day in May. I'm hoping for the one day in May being my last, but we'll see...

If it was not my daughters B-day next weekend I would hit the bush. Skiing MRG this past friday was enough to end my season alone but to top it off with a day at Mt Snow and 2 more at Killington....I can call it a season with a smile. I am done.

Sounds like an awesome way to end it! It's a great feeling when you come to terms with the season being over. Unfortunately, in a month of so, you'll be jonesing again.

Friday at Sugarbush will be it for me. 41 days and a 5 1/2 month season. Best season for me, in terms of length, number of days, and quality.

Next Sat and Sunday at Mount Snow, although she was a melting quickly, and they had a heck of a lot more ropes up today (Monday) than and the cancer spots were starting to form in places today that they previously hadn't :( Worst comes to worst, the deck infront of Cuzzin's will work out ;)

That will get me to 51 days (only 6 behind what will be my 4 year old daughter's total for the season ;) )

Done for the season! This past Saturday was my Tuckermans trip - the biggest zoo I have ever seen. By 9 AM people were parking at Wildcat and walking over. Conga line all the way up the trail. The crowds were a bit too much but it was a super day nevertheless.

Sunday - Sunday River - warm and slushy. A bit too much of both. Wet mashed potatos are just not all that much fun and moguled runs had very strange lines. My friend and I both think that when moguls are made or ridden by a lot of snow borders, they are less fun for skiers.

I may get tempted to hit Loon for some mogul workout this coming weekend, but I'm probably done.

This Sunday and Saturday at Sunday River, the following Sat and Sun at either the Loaf or the Cat. Hoping for Mother's day weekend at either the Loaf or the Cat, but if neither is open, will be hiking with Terry, Monkeybrook, Bobr and the like. Lots of snow left in them there hills, folks.

Nice picture, Terry! ;-)

I may just get up to Jay on Sunday, from their site:

CLOSED 'TIL SATURDAY

Jay Peak will be closed Tuesday through Friday of this week but we plan to re-open for the weekend (April 26th & 27th). Check back on Thursday for an update on operations, conditions and weather for the weekend.

I'm most likely done...

Hit Loon on Saturday afternoon and had a great time... This coming weekend I'll be in Portland, OR running the Olympic Trials for US Fencing, and while I'm tempted to sneak away to Mt. Hood, supervising Olympic Team selection is kind of an important thing...

5/3 & 5/4 there is a possibility of a Loaf trip... but I'm not sure if it will pan out or not.

If I am done, I have to say, I had a GREAT season for my first full season (Started skiing in mid-Feb last year) and I'm already looking forward to the next one.

I'm done, Mt. Snow on the 17th was my last day. I was thinking about hitting Mt. Snow this Friday but I have to be at work at 5:15 AM on Saturday so I got to get to bed early. If I drive to Mt. Snow and back I'll be going to sleep late. It was a great season for me.
