I looked at the superpipe cam earlier. I'm wondering if there's going to be enough snow for the Peace Pipe Rail Jam two weeks from now.

It's on Inferno this year. I'd bet that there's still PLENTY of snow to be had between those last couple of hits they created this year! :)

Still snow high on Ellen. Elbow still has some patches, Rim Run has some. FIS has skiable cover. Black Diamond still has patches, but nowhere near skiable.

Lower mountain is close to 100% bare.

...A SKIable MOUNTAIN!...that's another thing...??

Was getting a little excited at the prospect of hikin' to find the white stuff billski. I definitely could, but it's up in the woods like this one. Not much for pitch...
Might be some up on Sugarloaf, with a some stretches on Katahdin...can I perk your interest in a side cutting road near BigSpencer Mtn...?.. (That's about it for Maine...)

Loons Got Snow

PipeCam.jpg

Loon still has patches of snow all over the mountain. North Peak has some big ones but the jackpot piles are in Loon Mountain Park, including the half pipe (above).

There is an enourmous pile at the bottom of Escape Route, only a few minutes walk from downtown Lincoln on South Peak. It was built for a photo shoot in the last week of operation. It could last for a couple months.
