Also, males stop getting called boys somewhere around the age of 18, unless some woman is calling us childish. "Guy friends" and "boyfriends" have different meanings, both of which are covered by "girlfriends."

The term boyfriend is most often used by females to describe someone that they're dating, if a male uses it then people think it's someone they are dating and thus they're gay. The same is true for the term girlfriend, it's used mostly by guys to describe a female that they are dating. The difference is that when a female uses the term and one might think it means that they're dating a girl then it's viewed as hot girl on girl action, which is way more socially accepted in my experience.

It's easy. You're going out with "the guys" - an acceptable connotation that implies that there will more than likely be the consumption of alcoholic beverages(wine not included the vast majority of the time), some sporting event on atleast 1 TV in the general vicinity, a good chance of some cards/darts/pool cues in use, and plenty of talk that would classically be referred to as "sophomoric" and/or "locker room humor" By the end of the night, especially if enough alcoholic beverages have been consumed, there may very well be the exposure of male genitalia, but in a 100% non homosexual manor

Now if you're talking "girlfriends" in a similar context, to the male mind (atleast the male mind that's not a fan of show tunes and/or watches Ellen every day - not that there's anything wrong with that ) that's going to imply within about 0.01 seconds of hearing it, lesbians, and then the Y chromosome takes over and quickly turns that into something akin to "Swedish bikini team lesbians" and at that point, anthing else being said to that male has about the same chance of being comprehended as one getting struck by lightening! :lol:

So true with the phrases. I can do yell ath the kids and I get told all I do is yell. Then five minutes later her head is spinning like the excorist and yelling at the kids. Why? Because they know what they are doing.

I don't agree females are smarter than men either, unless you measure smart by the number of words that come out of one's mouth and how much time you spend shopping for any particular item. Yes, now I am a dead man.

I'm smart enough to realize men and women are very different and that I'm lucky enough to have married the woman who is happy to overlook alot of things many women would not let pass. Because of that, she realizes that I know I'm lucky and that I won't ever do anything to jeopardize our relationship.

And I never have.
