I was joking obviously. I like Fridays. Good way to start the weekend early. Maybe Friday and Monday? That way you could toss in a few extended trips maybe? Tue-Thu are probably the quietest days and would be a nice way to break up the week.

That would be nice but I have to schedule the days off in advance..

I guess you'll need a copy of the Farmer's Almanac and some luck. Do you get weekends off??
Sometimes it's nice to do the Sunday- Monday thing and watch the hordes hurry up and hit the road early on Sunday (especially nice if a storm is rolling in). I've also had some great luck with Fridays but would never suggest skiing on Sat unless you have no other option. Wed is a nice day to split up the week.

Next season.. I want to use 2 vacation days a week ..What days during the week would be best to take them ? I would be taking day trips locally only.. Like ragged and Gunstock.

I would say consecutive days..Monday and Tuesday are good..you must have a shit-ton of vacation days if you can take off two days a week all ski season...

Wednesday is always the dead day at eastern ski resorts. If you're looking for empty, use that day. If you're looking for a long weekend, do Thursday/Friday. Mondays & Tuesdays are often still pretty beat up from all the weekend traffic. By later in the week, things have been groomed out, they've had a chance to resurface with the snowmaking system, and you have some chance of some natural snow that hasn't been used much on Mon/Tues/Wed.

Fridays is getting too busy for my liking. Monday's conditions are hung over from the weekend, though it's a fine option. Seems harder to get Mondays off in my business.

If you have to commit early you should try to avoid school vacations and the typical January thaw.

I would do Mondays and Fridays, as I am always partial to making long weekends. At Sunday River there may be more skiers on those days than other weekdays, but the difference is not appreciable. You still have the mountain to yourself.
