Reisch has claimed the gold medal. Lindsey Vonn is colelcting herself on course, after her ski clipped off. Mancuso will be in second and Anja Paerson will take 3rd, giving the crowd her textbook slide of celebration. Vonn was taking that gate so tight in an attempt to close the gap that she hooked her ski tip around the gate. Disappointing for Vonn but she's skied down to give Reish a warm hug.

The "fun" of slalom sometimes

Lindsey knew that Maria had put down a good run and that she had to go for it. And in slalom the margin for error at the speeds their traveling at is so small.

Julia though!! Wow!! Awesome games so far, and argueably her best event (the GS) coming up! And who knows with the way she's skiing speed events right now and how she can turn 'em, look for her to be a legit threat (along with the already crowned 2010 WC Super G champ, Lindsey ) US Women's skiing has a GOOD chance of racking up another few medals before the flame is extinguished for these games! :flag: :flag: :flag:

I think Julia is not entered in the Slalom event. She was entered in DH, SG, SC and GS.
