Tonight (12/9/03) at 8pm there is a show on the travel Channel with the World's Top 10 Ski Resorts. Stowe, Vermont made this list. I thought some of you might like to catch it.

Too bad I'll miss it, but I'll be watching the Battlestar Galactica movie on SciFi. Plus I think I saw the top ten resorts show last month. It's heavily stanted toward lodging and off-mountain activities. But they do show some ski footage and mountain views of each resort.

Pretty good show - Warren Miller looks mighty old. Hard to imagine that Stowe is better than, say, Val d'Isere, but who knows. Who am I to bitch, but the show seemed a bit North America - centric. Personally, I got lucky and once was able to spend 2 days at Zermatt in Switzerland a few years ago, and if there's a better ski mountian and village, I want to see it. Hard to beat skiing into Italy by mistake and taking the chair back after lunch.....

Based on that program, whaddya all say we head off to Portillo Chile one of these summers and get away from it all? That place looked wonderful.....!!

Nice to watch on a weekday evening. I don't know how accurate it was. I think Ski Magazine probably sucked Warren Miller's name into it and clipped him from something else. Seemed somewhat commercial. Maybe whoever gave Ski Magazine the most freebies got a bump? Heh. Definately some nice spots showcased.

I really liked all the shots of the extreme skiing. Well actually any of the ski was awesome to see.

Just make a 'wish list' using the word SKI or SKIING. It gets everything, even sitcoms where the description is "Lucy and friends go on ski vacation...."
