Cannon opened the Zoomer chair on Sunday and made snow on Rocket and Garys so those trails are covered fine.Everyone will being skiing up Zoomer,Paulies, and Avalanche even if they are closed. The patrol is very tolerant and even encouraging to help skipack the trails. This packing technique is far better for thin cover trails than grooming equipment cuz it does not bring up dirt and such with the tracks of the machines. The good news is I've done it many times and the whole Zoomer side has very few rocks unlike the rest of the mountain.

I have found patrol at Cannon not very friendly about skiing closed trails from personal experience. But at least they are pretty good about opening Avi, Paulies, and Zoomer when coverage is thin. I have taken a few core shots on those trails in thin condition and loved every minute of it. Looks like the ropes dropped regardless today.
