Guys: considering driving up to hike and ski for Friday. Looks like an awesome day. Also, need to dump some gear at the waitsfield ski and skate sale, so there is that reason. But, is it worth the 4 hr drive. Sat looks like a wash out, and it will probably just be spring like conditions, but I am thinking it could be worth it. SB has claimed based depths of 2 - 3 feet on snowmaking runs, so my guess is that is gonna be just fine.

What's your opinion ?

So maybe that will help. I can say that the weather has SUCKED up here. It was over 60F here in the Upper Valley...I am getting sick of this "MidAtlantic Winter Weather." :roll:

I hiked Jay Peak last Friday and it was thin, could not even ski the bottom third. Lot's of snow making and we had a good time on the Jet but the weather up there has been tropical. Bring the boards and hit your swap and decide when you get there. Rock skis?

i don't think i would drive four hours but if you are going to be in the area any ways... why not. if it is the main reason you are coming up... you may wish to consider a closer ski swap to drop your skis at.

You could ski if you haven't yet this year, and you may find some corny stuff if you time it right. If you do come up you should stay thru Monday.
