The skier with the bright blue northface jacket and red pants that somehow found his way onto almost every trail I was on at Hunter this past weekend. Your glorious trail wide GS turns found a way to ruin pretty much every run I made. If you're out there and reading this, you better change your outfit because I will be looking for you next weekend and this time you will get a swift elbow as you come at me from across the trail.

end rant.

I was being polite. Downhill skier has the right of way and I respect that but this dude was clearly trying to block anyone from passing him and when you did he came daringly close to you as to say this is my run. If I was by myself, dude would have been on his butt a couple times but for the sake of not hearing my lady the whole ride home I gave him some room. Next time he wont be so lucky lol

i agree with the rant

Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. Some jackass in north high end clothing and gear, vokyl ac 50's ripping unnecessarily wide gs turns. Just because you can make wide turns doesnt mean you should. These people are more dangerous than beginners.

Was thinking the same thing...

I don't let those Russian carve maniacs get me down... I just pass them...

It was pretty empty yesterday. What better time to carve?

I have no problem with trail hogs as long as they are predictable...the ones that turn at random moments and zoom right across the trail in front of me are the ones that give me fits.

Then again, if I get a little close to them then so be it...

agreed. if someone is making easy / predicatble turns i kind of like sneaking up behind them and passing has they turn away from me.

still the downhill skier has the right of way, regardless how predicatable/unpredicatble they turn.. my son got run over by a boarder @ magic last year has he tried to pass us.

for the times i saw him in front of me i did wait but he came from behind many times almost as if he was following me. i almost felt like i cut him off at one point and he was trying to get revenge but I don't do that. Like i said, i would have loved to pass him but he kept looking uphill as he made his trail wide turns and would head exactly where I ws heading. it got annoying really fast. he would do the same thign to everyone trying to pass him like he was trying to get hit. who knows maybe he was trying to get hit. I saw 1 skier stop and give him a piece of his mind but be responded in a language I couldnt make out.

i realized conversation was pointless after I saw how his other interactions went. arms flailing and screaming as if he wasn't wrong.

u skier or snowboarder? skier's have poles, poles sometimes stick out to the side at the most (in)opportune moment.

i stabbed a guy once, totally by accident but totally my fault. i was very young and rather than stop to help him i skied away to hide.

Plenty of open terrain at Hunter. Amazing that he poached your line all day. Maybe you should think about getting off Belt.
