It's not winter yet..this last weekend was a bonus..it looks like it could be until around Thanksgiving until things start happening based on the long range forecast..

Based on that forecast, you can see why so few blew snow. I am surprised K-mart made a run at it...

Would a moderator move this thread to the Northeast Weather Forum?

Thanks!

I would rather not see it....

I was hoping that had some inside knowledge to a different forecast. ;) I say good on them for going for it.

Yeah, I guess it's weather-related, but it was meant more as a vent for the ski jonesers....

Not too worry guys. Real cold and storminess are brewing after mid month. Hunter will be cranking some sweetness by Thanksgiving.

NWS Killington forecast, 3132 feet:

That's bullshit.

And why I can't stand mid-October to mid-November and mid-April to mid-May. Forecasts like that one are all too common.

and even if I was into MTB I would still not care for it.

Wonder if Killington and/or Sunday River will be able to open this weekend.

I was hoping to ski Mt. Snow top to bottom this weekend. This weather blows. But I keep telling myself it's early in the season. Hell, I still have yardwork to do! (Leaf Patrol)

If Killington makes the weekend..the lower mountain is going to be an actual ribbon..upper mountain should be good through the week..I'm not expecting to ski again until the weekend of the 15th or even the 22nd with the forecast..

This one's better. At least a return to normal after this week:

I can’t get with the poor us aspect of this thread. It’s only Nov. 3rd, did anyone really think it would stay below freezing until spring? I get as pissed off as anyone about thaws during the winter, but it’s just too early for me to get real upset.

The thread was sorta made tongue-in-cheek. I love all those that point out that it's only the beginning of November.......like my calendar doesn't work as good as theirs.  Still - you gotta admit, last week was a major tease.
