I snowboard but am better at skiing. If I am going to the mountain for the day I usually bring both and will sometimes switch it up in the middle of the day depending on my mood.

Knuckle-dragging Earth-surfer right here. There are definitely more skiers but most of them aren't so bad. Some of them can do 76mph on choppy wet snow in the fog!

I'll jump on anything that slides down the mountain...
But yes... Snowboard is my weapon of choice...

If you want an actual head count, just start a Mad River thread and wait an hour

Sliding is sliding. Except for snow skates, what's the point of those ... ? :p

Welcome.

Mostly a lurker here...I skied until about 1996 or so when I switched to snowboard. Just got new gear this year too! I am probably going to try skis again some point this year to see how rusty I am and how different it is.

I only need one board unlike these other fancy guys on 2 sticks carrying even more sticks in their hands (LOL). However I love me some skiers, without them I would have never gotten into the mogul world! Dont get me started on those snobs in Mad River and Alta......

I prefer snowboarding, and I'm much better at it than skiing. I do enjoy doing both, though.

But I'm also way too old to associate myself with snowboarding "culture" and I never go in the terrain parks, so I'm 2nd tier.

No such thing as too old to fit it, at sundown I roll with many "Seasoned" skiers much older than I, and I'm a young knuckle dragger. I'm sure it works both ways, without hanging with the older guys I would have never taken my board through the bumps so branching out was a great idea. Try us out, some of us may surprise you.
