Might have a window to get up there Wednesday after work… looks like another nice refresher Wednesday and then maybe the upslope machine kicks in for Thursday.

Short on J1 lifties, or other mtn ops?

From afar it looks like snowmaking has been hitting the usual opening sequence.

Regardless, really looking forward to getting back up there.
Snowmaking is on fore, they are killing it! J1’s is the issue. They are opening more lifts this weekend

Even in "normal" years, staffing ramps up through December.

For instance, when I worked at Stowe I'd always start right with the Thanksgiving opener, but I was a returner (no training needed), and it was my choice (i.e. they didnt need full staffing the first few weeks) to work.

Sounds like the ropes dropped on Upper Goat, Upper Liftline, and Upper Starr today.

They may very well be at 100% when the Gondy and Sensation open on Saturday.

Except for runs serviced by Toll House Double which is not scheduled to open until Dec 19

They will open those trails to ski back to the free lots as long as there's enough snow. You would have to take a bus back up to the main mountain.

Past two days broke the fun meter. Some of the woods has thigh deep!💥. You could go anywhere you wanted on the mountain. I did star mid morning for a break from the woods and its was pow bumps top 2 bottom! Mountain is in a snow globe! Here is some pics of low angle woods, having to much fun to stop and take pic’s in the higher elevation woods! Sick opening to the season….

Not sure it gets much better than today. Two straight 💥 days with an empty mountain! Good for you for getting @ it!

As I’m sure you assumed (Warriors) tomorrow will be a blast ! Tons of Snow, tons of Options. Refills Again today ! Wow
I believe you’ll see an unusually large Crew of powder hounds up there (early) and those chomping at the bit late arrivals on a usually sleeper pre-Christmas Saturday.
Free Parking Shuttles start around 7:00 at Toll House Lots and as those fill the huge lower lot at XC Center starts to Open. My suggestion is don’t park at XC center until Toll House lots fill. Buses are not looking for people down there at 6:45….believe me.
Don’t know but I’m pretty sure Toll Road & maybe Derby will be open to Ski/ride back to your Ride, if you choose.
Have a Blast Folks.
Ps. I’ve seen many people tonight (visitors) in other towns, eying the Goods, so beware. Not Christmas crowds, but …. Who knows, people are busy this time of year….
may you ski-on - ski-off
Cheers !

I only ski Stowe on weekdays for 2 reasons...the insane lines that FourRunner gets on weekends and paid parking on weekends.

Weekends are for the Indy Pass.
