Hey All,

I know some AZers have other passions than skiing/riding like golf, hiking, boating and Mountain Biking. Is Skiing/Riding your favorite sport? If it isn't, what is your favorite sport? It definitely is my favorite..it's a no brainer and skiing has been my favorite thing to do since I was in 6th grade. If you have a short minute..take part in my poll..

What a silly question...OF COURSE!!!

Let me put it this way:

1. When I am kayaking, I often think of skiing.
2. When I am hiking, I often think of skiing.
3. When I am snowshoeing, I think of skiing.
4. When I am skiing, I think of NONE of the above!!!

Well put!

I chose no. Want to be different, and figured I would be the only one

I don't know that I actually have a favorite sport. Nowadays, skiing probably takes the title, but largely due to the fact that I've had trouble figuring out how to get back into volleyball and lacrosse. I like motor racing (as long as right turns are involved,) but I just don't have the massive amounts of money needed to race.

No, I have many favorites... depends on the season and the conditions really.

Although it is probably one of the most "fun" in the most common use of the word.

10 years ago, i was most excited about skiing, but I enjoy the process of learning and my ski development has sort of plateaued as compared to kayaking and climbing, so those two things get me the most amped right now. That's not to say that I don't LOVE to ski and LOVE to rip it up on my beloved Evil Imp MTB, but those things are just not as shiney and new as some other activities. In the end though, whatever gets me out in interesting and beautiful places that most folks never go, where conditions are good for what I am doing, is my favorite activity for any given day. All of it=Good!

Favorite, without question. I think about skiing every single day, every season.

I ienjoy several differant activities especially when they are in season, so don't really have a favorite .
I like the change ., just about when i'm getting tired of one activity, its time for something else to begin. But skiing is still pretty high on the list

Yes. I used to play basketball all the time, but now that I'm old and crippled up, I can't hang with the young guys anymore, so I prefer skiing. I think I could get into diving if I lived somewhere were this were possible, but I live next to a couple of great mountains, so it's good that I enjoy skiing so much.

Yes and no.

I enjoy skiing but I don't think about it at all in the summer. :)

In the summer, I bike, kayak and just hanging out. I really enjoy doing those and don't EVER think about skiing until I see the first snowflakes in December!

Skiing in S. America or New Zealand in the summer sounds great in theory. But in actuality, that means I have to go down for 2 weeks of cold and no biking! No thanks.

I guess skiing is NOT my favorate sport? But in the winter, that's ALL I do. So, it IS my favorate sport. Oh well. (I didn't vote 'cause I can't decide).

Like greg I think about it every single day year round. Most of the non-skiing things I do (work, climbing ect...) revolve around skiing. I have made tons of sacrifices to ski, sometimes very irrational life decisions.

favorite yes but i actually love summer.

1) skiing
2) baseball ok now its softball. alright alright, i play softball as an excuse to drink
3) golf. havent played much since the kids were born but that will change soon.
4) rollerblading.
5) basketball. I freaking love playing hoops but it hurts my knees so damn much i basically only shoot around now. I used to get into pickup games everyday after work. damn i miss that.

In the summer I rent out space in a local restaurant's walk in freezer and live there until the temperatures drop back down to sensible levels. It's sometimes hard to keep the computer running at those temps so that I can still surf AZ, but it's worth it.
