Lose weight, heal knee, ski more. Maybe hit up the Sundown mogul comp if the dates work out.

did you have the surgery yet?

June 4th is the date for surgery. Went mtn biking last night and it feels really good. Kinda sucks I need to start all over again, but I'll prob appreciate the new acl when I start skiing again.

out of curiousity, why whistler?

I've just heard really great things about it and it's been a desire of mine to hit that mountain for a long time now. I figure if I make it a goal I might actually go instead of spending yet another season whining about not going...

Ski more...work less.
Get in a full week in Utah and hopefully get another back country tour at Alta.
Continue to work on my mogul skiing.
Go someplace I haven't been to yet. Maybe in CO or BC.
Maybe buy some powder skis.

Get out at least one more day than last year (31)
try using shorter poles
Ski at least 2 new mountains - I have never skied in Maine - how about Saddleback and Sugarloaf
Get back to MRG - what a place!
Ski more with my kids - the oldest will be off to college in 2009.

3. Tucks
4. PSIA Level III Tele (did level III alpine in 2008)

*lose 40-45 lbs by 11/15 (which for some reason I have picked as the start of next season)
*learn to ski bumps, even if it's not pretty
*get my confidence back that I lost after my knee injury
*25 ski days
*Get up to MRG and out west at least once in the season
*learn how to land small jumps (those accidental jumps were the cause of my injuries this past season)
Somehow I forgot getting out on skis with my daughter. I'm not sure how I'll do with her as I'm not that advanced of a skier, but since I won't get to see her ski unless I go with her, I'm looking forward to it.

Practice skiing backwards next season. That's almost a prerequisite for teaching kids unless you go the leash route (which I don't like).
