so which is your favorite hot rod?

That’s a tuff one East. That’s like asking who my favorite Victoria’s Secret model is. They are all so fine it’s a difficult decision.

I’m going to go with the Hellcat. 132-90-118 isn’t wide for a powder ski, but it has amazing float for its width. On firm snow it has great edge hold and skis fast. It’s powerful and for a ski that wide and stiff it is not hard to turn especially when you bring it up to speed (for skiers with strong technique of course).

I do love them all though, Hotrod is a great series.

If you don't mind me asking how did you get a job as a rep and what exactly does being a rep involve?

just curious, thanks

Long hours, little pay, lots of travel. And those are the pluses.

the two jobs must keep you pretty busy

I'm not a ski rep that goes mountain to mountain. I'm the pro rep at Whiteface. When ski patrol, ski instructors, etc. want Nordica equipment at Whiteface (at pro form prices) they come to me and we go over their options and get it done. Sometimes they want advice, sometimes they know what they want.

It's a part time job that doesn't feel like a job. I really enjoy doing it. I feel very lucky to be with Nordica. They have great products and trat their pro reps very well.

so, would you be interested in me writing a letter expressing how great of a job you're doing for Nordica

if

you sell me a set of skis at pro form pricing?

I'll even throw in a picture of me with Bill Clinton, George Mitchell and the governor of Maine so they think I'm some legit businessman

 Can't do it bro. Like I said I love it and wouldn't take a chance on messing it up.

I do hear of good deals on Nordica equipment sometimes at shops I deal with and would be happy to pass those on to you if you're interested.

it's cool, I'm kinda a cheap bastid anyways when it comes to skis. I generally pick up pairs of two/three year old 'new' skis online or at a swap. Guess that kinda makes me a bit of a nemesis for brand reps looking to push the latest product for high dollars

Nothing wrong with looking for a good deal. Even though shops put up big mark downs in the spring, they don't get rid of everything. Tent sales will be coming up soon and as you know you can get lucky there on some of last years gear.

Hey Hart - been meaning to ask this somewhere. How does one go about getting sponsored? Don't mean to hijack the thread so if it's better answered in a new thread so be it.

Some of the other team members on Iceman's team talk about that and I'm just wondering how to go about it and what it entails?

not THAT tough...Victoria Silvested and the Hell Cat. I've been to 4 of the dealer product launches...Top Fuel was my first favorite...then they made the Jet Fuel, even better....and then the Hell Cat.
