Mothers Back to Black

Mini is cheap and spends a lot of time on the street. After 5 years of service, catering to all my whims and desires, she started looking a bit worn out and discolored around the wheel arches where they used lots of cheap plactic to save cost.

Back to black did the trick. Worked wonders. Just lather some into the surface, let it dry, buff, and voila, looks good as new.

If you have a car that has some discolored plastic or rubber surfaces, check this product out. Its easy to apply and works as well as advertised. Highly recommended.

I have it. Used it only once but I was not crazy about it. I might have to give it another try.

Did you use it on rubber or plastic? The results on rubber were just OK, but it worked really well on the plastic on my car.

Both....Some of the plastic I used it on was really rough though.

Something that I've heard works really well for restoring faded black plastic on some cars is peanut butter. Seriously I've read that several places, it's supposed to work as good or better than the products made specifically for it. I haven't tried it yet (mostly because I also haven't washed my car in awhile), but someday I'm going to have to.

I have used PB. It works ok but its just the oil in it that bring the plastic back to life. One rain and you have to use it again.

No, that was the PB that did not hold up. I am going to try the mothers again, I forgot I had it.
