Steve picked me up and we drove to Wallingford and parked at the soccer fields. Got pedaling shortly after 4 and headed through a field and then up a steep hill an onto a dirt road. From there we weren't really sure were to go since neither of us did any homework looking at the maps. I figured it would be like the places we usually ride and you can't miss the trails, boy was I wrong. We headed up the road and of course took a wrong turn bringing us back to the main road. We then headed up Tyler Mill Rd up to a bridge and river that Steve seemed to remember from riding there 10 years ago. We past some trail heads and decided to cross the river to see what else was over there so we could weigh all our options.Steve thought the trails were on the left but we could not find them.

We ended up taking a atv trail on the right near the river and rode that for a bit, lots of useless bypasses that ended up back on the trail in about 50 yards. Came to our first major intersections and took a left, still on atv trail. Basically the only thing we kept finding was atv trails most of the time and some steep hike-a-bikes. We ended up coming up to a road(route 150) and then looped it back and ended up on one of the trail we had already been on. Decided to head up it the other way and stumbled onto rte 150 again, but found a trail off to the side which contained about 1/4 mile of single track which dumped us back onto the main trail again.

Decided to head back the way we came and found probably another 1/8 mile of single track. We soon ended up back at the end of Tyler mill Rd were we started and decided to ride the road back to were we cut through the wood to the soccer fields and called it a day.

After reviewing our track it looks like Steve was right and the stuff was on the left. We should of kept going after we crossed the bridge to the Malby Lane area like on this track http://crankfire.com/trails/data.php?dataid=50 cause everything we found north of the river was pretty boring.

Our track http://crankfire.com/trails/data.php?dataid=480 8.8 miles and missed all the goods.:smash:

Yikes. I assumed this place was easy to navigate. I guess not. Wanna try again on Thursday?

That track looks like the deaf leading the blind...

Sure I'm still in. Probably will upload a track as some guidance this time. Steve said there is some good single track and stunts there, somewhere.

Sounds like you missed everything. Don't count this place out yet. There is good single track to be had and some cool skinnies. Ride with some one who knows the trails or upload a track next time and then make up your mind.
