I'm a huge fan of Sud's Pub in Bethel......but I'm biased.

I like The Belfry in Montgomery Center too.

There will be a lot of bias in this thread. The Barn at Mad River for me. Craig is great.

Matterhorn I'm a fan of, Rusty Nail so, so. It's HUGE and depending on the entertainment, the crowd/energy can go from really good, to pretty lame.

I mainly hung out at Sunset, Burts, Ladies Invited and the Backyard when I was a local in town. Then again I was a local and would have a totally different perspective than people from out of town.

Agree and relate to the above. The Rusty Nail in particular has gone down hill with the new ownership. When Bobby Roberts sold the place, his act connection also left. They don't get anything good in there anymore.

In the Cannon/Loon area, the Woodstock Inn Station Brewery can be a lot of fun, and so is the Common Man complete with a large fireplace. In the spring the White SUV opens up in one or the others' parking lots complete with a portable grill, BBQ chicken wings, ice packed coolers with almost your beverage of choice, everyone invited!

New here, but had to respond.....The Lookout in Killington! The friendliest people, like coming home....

I'm a couple of hundred feet from there and the view out my living room window is the mountain over the back corner of their parking lot. I've known Phil Black for many years. I usually only go in midweek. When you put 50 people in the place, the acoustics are so lousy that you can't hear anybody talk.

I like the vibe at the Long Trail Brewery better. Other than Saturdays, it's never a madhouse and the feel is more like a neighborhood bar than a resort bar. It also has a useful self-limiting feature because last call is at 6:00. I usually walk in the door just before last call. I was in there tonight and Garrett was razzing me because I showed up at 5:00.

We've had a good time at pretty much every watering hole in Killington. Including the Inn of Six Mountains bar one night!

Don't really go to any bars, at home or the mountain. The only ski bar I frequent is Christianson's at Jimney peak. Only frequent there, because I work up there alot, and have become friends with a bunch of the workers, over the years.

Personally I would rather grab a case and head back to were I am staying with friends, or hit the road and hang out when I get home.
