I hear that right before the swearing in for the new president that there is going to be a swearing at for the outgoing. Shoe throwing is optional.

I'm working from home because I have a sick kid. My office is actually setting up a couple conference rooms to broadcast the event. I think they just don't want people tying up the network with streaming video.

All these mean nasty ogre corporations allow us time off for such civic matters? nada!
Our company was generous enough to encourage and allow us to get involved with volunteerism on our own time! that's their idea of "support."

I'm home every day anyway. I suppose I should do the right thing and put it on for the kids, even though they probably don't understand, nor will they remember.

We get one paid day a year to do some kind of volunteering.

What's this inauguration you speak of?

Coincidentally, I happening to be listening to Cult of Personality right now. Awesome song, and fitting.

Good memories there! I saw Living Color in concert my freshman year of college. AWESOME live performance!

Any body staying home? I would do a poll but I don't know how to.

I had off work today and skied this morning..I watched a little bit of the Inauguration and it was freaking boring..I can't imagine travelling to DC and standing in the cold to watch big TV monitors..my sister and my brother in law are going to one of the Balls tonight..

I read it.

And almost fell asleep. Would have been nice to have a nice, rousing, specifics-laden, goal-oriented,far-reaching, hyphenated speech.

I tried to explain it to my 3.5 year old but all she kept saying was she wanted to watch a kid movie. I can totally understand why she wasn't interested; I lost interest by the time the VP was sworn in.
