tom, i thought you were talking about k. what's this a "macy's tells gimbel's" thing. you sending us all to loveland? maybe they should tell their website they're making snow since the countdown says 2 days til snowmaking.

Snowing all the way down to 7000 today and the next couple days!!!!!!!

If they only had east coast snowmaking potential I'd be skiing by the weekend.

I grew up skiing at Loveland ... so I'm just spreading a little stoke! :daffy:
Don't worry, we'll get going in late October as long as Mother Nature drops the temps. This weekend's freeze started to lower the ground temperature (water temp too), so that will go a long way in the next few weeks. Remember, we need more than cold air to make snow. Cold water and cold ground temps are very important. We don't want to blow snow on warm slopes and watch it melt away.

I always heard about needing frozen or cooler ground to maximize production, but cooler water never occurred to me for some reason. Obviously, makes sense. Best of luck!

damn that looks sweet at both places. and there's snow in the forecast. looks like they could open tomorrow if they wanted.
