have a couple questions on the Mad Bus -

Will the bus stop only at certain designated stops or will it pick someone up on the side of the road? I am looking at some places on German Flats Road, and it looks like there are about 4 different Mad Buses that use that Road many times a day. I have never been to Sugarbush before and I am wondering if I can rely on the Mad Bus for transportation. So will I have to plan on using certain bus stops or as long as I am on the side of the road and give a wave will it pull over?

Also could anyone give me their opinion on the Mad Bus - convenient? overcrowded? not worth it?

Note - I posted this on skimrv.com as well, but that forum seems to be so low traffic and this is going to help me make some big decisions as well.

You are in luck if you are on German Flats Road between Mt Ellen and the Sugarbush Access Road as it is regularly scheduled from 8 to 5:30 daily. There are a couple of routes - the Mt Route and Valley Floor Route that travel that road and even available on Saturday nights.

The policy is - "You may request a pickup by flagging down the bus - drivers will stop to pick you up where safe driving conditions permit."

Only time it gets really crowded is when there is a big group waiting at Slide Brook Rd.

low traffic, but highly focused, as you will note from several helpful replies to your query! :) Come on up the MRV! pm if you need help with lodging, etc.

I am so looking forward to checking out Sugarbush and MRV, sounds like the bus is the way to get around there. The skimrv.com board was a great help.

Mad Bus is great....never had an issue with it...some great places to stay on the cheap (Slidebrook Inn) clean, cheap and great bar on site or nicer B&B's (Sugartree Inn) nice rooms, great B'fast and outdoor hottub....stayed at both places
