Some of the goods not liking the word sleet in there though...
Today: Snow before 1pm, then snow and sleet. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 25. Wind chill values as low as -6. Windy, with a east wind between 18 and 26 mph, with gusts as high as 47 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.

Tonight: A chance of snow and sleet before 1am, then snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 17. Southeast wind 13 to 18 mph becoming southwest. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Thursday: Snow showers. Temperature rising to near 21 by 10am, then falling to around 9 during the remainder of the day. Wind chill values as low as -12. Breezy, with a west wind between 18 and 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

yeah wintry mix much less of a risk farther N/E. Sugarloaf could end up the crowned champion from this one, but wind effect could be severe. Whatever, I'm thinking anything short of out-and-out rain is good, to build base this time of year.

Jay could get lake-effect followup too though my understanding is central VT is better situated for that.

One concern I have is wind mucking up the woods with blowdown. Snow snake population explosion.

I'm about 15 minutes from Sunapee @ 1,100'. We've got 9" in our driveway already. Deeper where the wind is piling it up.

I'm just not picky with my powder...

35 straight days of 75 degrees and i'd take anything even semi-frozen falling from the sky.

I dont even care if it changes to rain all the way to the north pole, it's still a net gain.

You almost need some mixing now to get some base snow down in the woods, and also help keep the snow piled up to withstand the winds forcasted for the next 48 or so hours. Light fluffy stuff + 48 or so hours of high winds will get alot of almst bare ground in the wind exposed areas and then some thick wind slabs in other.

Best thing for the NEXT storm would actually be a couple of hours of sleet/mix at the end to preserve this snow fall where it fell, not where the wind deposits it.

Plenty of base down down, let's keep it soft and pile it on. I think everyone in NE is getting the goods. Who will have the goods tomorrow, THAT is the question. Today was as good as skiing gets.
