I agree 100% about racing trails not counting as open...

I'm nervous how many racing trails will be set up at SR this weekend... seems like early season they always take up a ton of space.

Check SS's post again, he said that racing trails ARE counted as open  Even though the public can't access them a good deal of the day

Right... I got that, I was agreeing with him that they shouldn't count as open...

Sorry, should have been more clear.

Rumor is Bear next week. I stress rumor, as it doesn't make sense to me. Maybe trying to get the Stash open quickly.

I'm thinking they may do Superstar this weekend. Won't be as impressive as starting from grass last year, but I wouldn't be surprised if they actually plan on using a 24-hr blow on SS as a show of snowmaking capability, start Saturday during the day and open it up Sunday.

They're already blowing Launchpad and the former Upper GE green run toward bear from K-peak, which generally means Skye is opening very soon. Opening bear makes perfect sense, that's some relatively critical terrain....they need at least something in the park and Skyeburst>Bear Claw by Christmas. It's also how a lot of people get to the Needle's area. (K-peak>SPQ)
