It is chilly out...but I'm not complaining. A lot of people at work are though. HA! It's even better when it snows out.

It was subzero up on the hill today. The Hotronics in my right boot has failed. My right toe is a little numb.

I was layered up today... Probably 10f lower then you but still cold... balaclava saved me..
Had over-mittens on.. Still managed to get a nice streak on my face from the goggle gap...

But it was well worth it...

For my first face to face interview I'll be sporting a great ski tan :)

Its amazing to me how much ski pants help keep you warm. I can go out on a day like today with a ski jacket but no ski pants and feel pretty chilly. But when I have those ski pants on as well I'm much more comfortable.

It's time to tell those dopes who still insist on dressing in t-shirts and shorts outside to either get a job and buy some clothes or pick up a brochure for Orlando and buy a ticket....:flag:

I drive by the local high school every morning on my way to drop my son off at pre-school. There was a "fine young lad' today walking maybe 1/3rd of a mile from the school in shorts, a tee shirt, sandals and a ball cap. Kid had some fire engine red colored skin to boot  I know I did some stupid things as an adolescent male, but I'm not sure I did something as DUMB as that!

I was fine other than a Hotronics malfunction in one of my ski boots. I never even felt the need to pop my hood up. Helmet & balaclava, mittens, thick polypro inner layer and thick fleece under a shell. I'll see if I can get my boot guy to replace the element in my boot tomorrow. The old one is glued in with epoxy and probably needs to see the grinder to get it off.

I'm usually good down to about -20F.

The cold makes it harder to talk my wife into going skiing, which means I always have to search for lodging with a hot tub. Other than that, I love it.

my daughter just told me she's not going outside again this winter. It is cold out there with the wind right now, but that's because we were dressed to run quick errands, not hang out in the cold. If i'm not skiing, though, i'm not really a fan of what's going on right now. Like was said before, snow is good, but windy cold, not so much--especially when trying to run errands with 2 little kids who can't stand the wind.

i remember those days!

My teenager won't put on a coat, except to ski. But he actually had LONG sleeves on today! (and thankfully the shorts were put away weeks ago)

I had to take my gloves off to use my bare hands to clear my goggles a couple times due to the snowmaking onslaught...

It was COLD in Boston today - yet I had to dress in office garb; not 3 layers with goggles. In my ski outfit I can stand -10 with no issues (now put some wind on that -10 and I'll be back in the lodge).

All layered up with a set of handwarmers (I've got bad circulation, and mittens suck) and the 2F and windy at hunter today, felt nice and warm. Dress correctly and the temperature won't bother you much.

You real men who like it could need to give the rest of us a break. Winter lover/snow lover or not, it is really friggin cold out there. The only good thing about this type of cold is that the ski areas can crank the man made. It is the only redeeming quality. Want to argue against that? Tell me how much snow the mountains are going to get from this weekend's storm? Because the cold is too strong and is pushing the storm away from New England. Too cold is not good for skiing except for laying down a man made base. WAAAAY too friggin cold right now. And if you disagree, take your lap top outside and spend a few minutes out there reading AZ with this wind howling and do it with a smile on your face. :)

My big problem is I'm not working now and need to ride as much as possible before starting work... :)

Cold sucks... I hate cold... It makes for great manmade.. But it sucks.. On a lot of levels.

We dont have cold like your guys but it still sucks at -5 windchill and gusty wind...

I can dress for it ... But it sucks...

Give me 28 and dry/sunny any day.. This below 0 stuff blows...

It's not the heat...it's the humidity. Isn't that the whining in July and August ?

It's supposed to be cold in New England in December.
