Ya think?I'm guessing he skis.
It was subzero up on the hill today. The Hotronics in my right boot has failed. My right toe is a little numb.
Its amazing to me how much ski pants help keep you warm. I can go out on a day like today with a ski jacket but no ski pants and feel pretty chilly. But when I have those ski pants on as well I'm much more comfortable.
I was layered up today... Probably 10f lower then you but still cold... balaclava saved me..
Had over-mittens on.. Still managed to get a nice streak on my face from the goggle gap...
But it was well worth it...
For my first face to face interview I'll be sporting a great ski tan![]()
It's time to tell those dopes who still insist on dressing in t-shirts and shorts outside to either get a job and buy some clothes or pick up a brochure for Orlando and buy a ticket....:flag:
I'm glad I'm hopping around 3 areas tommorrow. with 20 mins in the car to rewarm/refuelIt was subzero up on the hill today. The Hotronics in my right boot has failed. My right toe is a little numb.

my daughter just told me she's not going outside again this winter. It is cold out there with the wind right now, but that's because we were dressed to run quick errands, not hang out in the cold. If i'm not skiing, though, i'm not really a fan of what's going on right now. Like was said before, snow is good, but windy cold, not so much--especially when trying to run errands with 2 little kids who can't stand the wind.
I drive by the local high school every morning on my way to drop my son off at pre-school. There was a "fine young lad' today walking maybe 1/3rd of a mile from the school in shorts, a tee shirt, sandals and a ball cap. Kid had some fire engine red colored skin to bootI know I did some stupid things as an adolescent male, but I'm not sure I did something as DUMB as that!
I was fine other than a Hotronics malfunction in one of my ski boots. I never even felt the need to pop my hood up. Helmet & balaclava, mittens, thick polypro inner layer and thick fleece under a shell. I'll see if I can get my boot guy to replace the element in my boot tomorrow. The old one is glued in with epoxy and probably needs to see the grinder to get it off.
I'm usually good down to about -20F.
You real men who like it could need to give the rest of us a break. Winter lover/snow lover or not, it is really friggin cold out there. The only good thing about this type of cold is that the ski areas can crank the man made. It is the only redeeming quality. Want to argue against that? Tell me how much snow the mountains are going to get from this weekend's storm? Because the cold is too strong and is pushing the storm away from New England. Too cold is not good for skiing except for laying down a man made base. WAAAAY too friggin cold right now. And if you disagree, take your lap top outside and spend a few minutes out there reading AZ with this wind howling and do it with a smile on your face.![]()
