I dont want to ski MRG on man made...Plenty of other places to do that.Yeah, I have a pretty hard time buying that.
Its not the economy...its the lack of snow. The economy was just as bad last year and they had a record season....difference is the snow...Or lack thereof.

One run at MRG is like two runs any other place...but again I only ski it midweek.Wouldn't want to ski MRG weekends to wait in line for potentially an hour for just one run. And even though I'm a skier, I'm largely kept away from the resort because of the snowboard ban.

Have you ever skied MRG on a weekend? I don't know if I've ever waited one hour. 40 minutes on a powder day, maybe. Twenty minutes is much more normal. First few runs are usually ski on to a few minutes. Shorter line for the double as well.Wouldn't want to ski MRG weekends to wait in line for potentially an hour for just one run. I don't like the title of this thread.

Just to clarify, I was saying that is the longest I have waited by my own internal clock. I have had plenty of weekend powder days at MRG that had under 10 minute lines for the Single. As always, there are so many factors. The point I am trying to make is that many people think the only time it is worth while to ski MRG is mid-week powder days and I think that perception is based on lack of experience.40 mins on a powder day is kind of long for me, Riv.
Doesn't look crowded today. Just looked at the web cam & there are empty chairs going up on the single.
Below zero temps today keeping a lot of people off the mountains
That's one man's opinion.mrg not worth spending 5 mins in line let alone 40...
Don't hate just because you snowboard.....Better yet don't spend anytime in a lift line...Hike it! :roll:mrg not worth spending 5 mins in line let alone 40...
I bet the lines yesterday were really long because everyone is powder starved and the storm was well publicized. There are many localized sleeper mini-dumps during mid-season that don't result in huge crowds.

IT doesn't suck....The weather does. The place always stays the same...and always will be the same....The title is spot on. You all give reach arounds talking about the place but sometimes it just plain sucks. Like this year. Get over it.
