Wildcat Express
Yup--probably the lowest high speed quad--right before cat track you could literally jump off (they have a "ski tip's up" sign) --and some years they have to clear the snow out of there to run it!

It also dips down repeatedly on panther and star line---they were either on a very tight budget when building it (couldn't afford taller towers) or more likely, to survive the evil wind!!

Powder Ridge has one roped off cause its pretty loe. Girl attempted to jump about 10 years ago but seems like her friend didnt want to go, so didnt lift safety bar and tragically got choked by helmet strap.

SO Don't jump from lifts

Timberline Quad at Sugarloaf is pretty low most of its length. Double Runner chairs as well when the base is deep.

The main lift at Bosquet gets very low and is roped off. Biggest problem is that it is right in the middle of the race trail. They have to set gates around the chair.

That's one reason to not jump off. Another woudl be the possibility of knocking the cable off the sheaves.

The red chair at magic is also totally below tree line (I've never ever seen a wnid hold) plus it has a section where the trail is roped off so people don;t kill themselves. In one spot you can almosot touch the ground without the aid of snow.

I remember a season that they had to dig the snow below the chair to make clearance and chair was running below the skiing surface.
They need to dig it out every year, often several times. I was riding the lift the other day with only a few inches of natural on the ground & my skis could touch the top of the twigs sticking up through the snow.

Aurora Quad at Sunday River is pretty low to the ground. Some seasons you can touch the ground after you cross Black Hole, and near the huge junction up top it gets pretty close too.

+1 on Wildcat's Express quad. Even if they are covering the trails through snowmaking, it is still very low.

I rode it on Saturday and it just doesn't feel all that low to me. In a handful of places it gets low but overall it seems pretty normal to me. I would agree that it is pretty low in comparison to other HSQs but not all lifts.

When they used to blow the Superstar Glaciar the only spot the lift was actually higher than the trail was where it crosses over right at the bottom.

Certainly depends on the snow amount but I've posted this here before. While riding the Cannonball quad at Cannon a few years back in spring 4 of us big boys were chatting away when ours skis hit the ground.None of us were paying attention and never saw it coming.Very weird feeling.
