very sad. cancer stinks. such an important figure. injected so much life and energy into snowsports when skiing was getting pretty stagnant. snowboarding progressed skiing into modern day freeskiing. also an adoptive vermonter who could have easily bounced for snowier locales.

That was a nice move by Stratton.

Certainly some sad news. He created a new sport. What an impact!
