Rode the Rez with Woodcore at around 6pm today. I don't know names or anything there, but we did the pretty standard loop, though it was modified a bit after I broke my seat post on top of the ridge. That sucked, I had to MacGyver up a seat attachment system using a couple of inner tubes. It made it so I didn't have a seat post up my ass, but was still slightly less than functional as a seat. That just meant that I had to spend most of the rest of the ride standing, which I'm not so good at, but I guess it was good practice.

I guess we did about 8.5 miles, the pace was pretty slow I'd guess, but I was cruising along pretty well on the ridge before my mechanical.

Here's a few pics:

This was fix attempt version 1. As Jon predicted those tie warps holding the front down didn't last more than a minute. I pedaled a half mile or so after that with the nose of the seat sticking straight up!

This at least held up

Not much to say about our ride today other than kudos to bvibert for strapping his wounded bike back together with inner tubes and zip ties and insisting on following the single track versus bailing to the paved/gravel paths. You the man!

Did you try strapping the seat to you a$$ too?

Good job on the fix and being able to finish the ride.
