I was really impressed with skiing the day after Thanksgiving last year at Mt. Snow. My wife and I are already talking about it for this year. It'll be here soon!

All I have to do is install the boot heaters and scrape the wax off. I could even pass on the boot heaters until it gets colder if necessary. I was happy as heck to get to ski at Blue on the day after Thanksgiving. Horrible conditions, but Bring the WROD!!!

Good stuff! Two really good starts to lift served skiing. I hope for a repeat again this year.

Booking the trip to K-ton for Thanksgiving 11/24-11/27. Hopefully enough snow for some good skiing.

Yep, it's coming on fast now.

I predict below normal temps and an early start to snowmaking everywhere in the northeast this year. :spread:

The middle of last November was awesome. I would be happy with a repeat of that.

IIRC, it got real cold in November, and stayed that way right through the holidays. Little in the way of rain or thaw either....but my memory is probably selectively only enjoying the good stuff. :snow:

I still remember that TR from a few of you guys who drove to NY and hiked after that foot plus powder dump. Wasn't that around Halloween? That TR del-friggin-livered.

50 days from today is Halloween, which is hopefully the latest I'll get going.

I wouldn't mind a repeat of that either!

That's about how I remembered it. Don't really care if it's accurate or not.

It would be great to have local skiing at the end of Nov again!

That was really really cool. Definitely a great experience for me. I'll do it again in a heart beat if I get a chance again. The only problem I had was that it seemed like forever between then and when I was able to get back on snow again (a few weeks later).

Sweet! That is just an amazing amount of snow for that early in the season. I still can't get over it.

I remember thinking we were going to get pounded in the early season...then it warmed up a bit and I think most of that stuff melted.

A great trip for you guys I'm sure.

I'm pretty sure all of that snow melted within a week or so. It was an amazing amount of snow, and was wicked fun to be in, especially in October! :snow: :spread:

Love that video -- great October stoke. I was up in the Catskills for a wedding this weekend, and the leaves are starting to change...pretty exciting.
