If I remember correctly the state of VT does not celebrate MLK day. This Monday is MLK day, so the midweek special is *possibly* a way to attract people from the surrounding areas to make it a LONG weekend.

One of the perks with my Butternut pass is the 1/2 price Jay Peak lift tickets, from Ski Butternut's website:

Starting Jan 6th - Ski Butternut season passholders get a 1/2 price lift ticket any-day all-season-long, NO Restrictions. Must show your Ski Butternut 2003/04 Season Pass at the ticket window.

That's cool. I wonder where the connection there is...?

The connection is that if you have a seasons pass from ANY mountain, you can get a 1/2 price ticket to ski at Jay. I guess they figure once you ski Jay, you'll end up buying a season's pass from them next year.

Ah ha...Pretty clever. The $199 Butternut season pass makes this deal even sweeter, I guess.
