...I was taking my first turns of the season down Vermonter on 8" of snow at Jay Peak. Two years ago on Wednesday, I had taken first turns of the season at Bolton Valley. Looks like no October skiing this season but there is always skiing to be had in November. Starting to get a little anxious here but taking each day as it comes with an understanding that mother nature will do her thing when she is good and ready to. Until then, I can at least reflect on some fond moments from the last two years during fine Octobers.

It's southern NE but Sunday I took the dogs for a walk in the morning wearing just a tee shirt. We slept with our window open last night. Doesn't really feel like fall. Hope we get a big change soon.

Not a whole lot better out here in Chicagoland...tee shirt weather near 80 Sunday. Sounds like it'll be a little cooler today. Maybe this will start working it's way East. I'll try to bring it with me when I come home.

This is nuts.

This is not fall... I miss crisp nights and trick or treating... yeah, it seems like that was a long time ago.

I was really hoping for some early Oct snow this year too since last year was the first time I partook in it and had a blast.

Well if it is any consolation I had to clean an inch of fresh snow off the car yesterday morning but unfortunatley I am far away from home in the czech republic. Ill try to bring some of this more seasonable weather home with me.

Well hopefully we're skiing in the first week of jan. with lots of powder and we can post 365 days ago reports with pictures of us standing around in shorts on trails with no snow.
