They must have a stellar little fella for a 2nd baseman...

Lexington —

Interdivisional play returned to the Lexington Men's Senior Softball League last week, and had been the case earlier this season the Gold Division teams gained the upper hand by winning all of the league's three games last week against their Blue Division rivals.

While two of their division rivals have winning records, Alexander's Pizza continues to maintain a healthy lead for the Gold Division's top spot. Last week they continued their march towards perfection with another big offensive outburst.

Rob McCulloch led their attack with five hits including three consecutive triples, while Dennis Bolton, Andy Lamb, Dan Posternak, and Jim O'Keefe all added four hits, to carry Alexander's Pizza to a convincing 21-5 victory over the Five-O's, and improve their record to a perfect 8-0.

Steve Pratt and John Hunter both chipped in a home run and two singles, and Stu Woodward contributed a triple and two singles for the winners, which has now scored an average of close to 22 runs a game so far this season.

Ken Laxague had three hits, and both Dennis Mazzone and Scott Brugelman had two hits for the Naturals.

After dropping their first three games of the season, Metro Contracting caught fire and won their next three contests to made a significant move upwards in the Gold Division standings. Last week Metro Contracting continued their recent surge with another winning effort to move above the .500 mark for the first time this season.

Ross Tolman was their hitting star with four hits, while Steve McDonough, Dan McDonald, Mark Bellino, Frank Torrez, John Canata, and Sal Serio all added three hits, and Eric Steinkrauss chipped in two hits, to help Metro Contracting score four runs in the fourth inning, and three runs in the first, third, and sixth frames to defeat the Five-O's 16-11, for their fourth straight win and improve their record to 4-3 this season.

Paul Zagami had five hits, and Mike Reimer, Phil Lehoux, Bob Waters, Ed Haffner, Steve Williams, and Waxie Johnson all had two hits for the Naturals, which fell to 2-7 this season with the setback.

After losing twice two weeks ago, Stone Meadow rebounded and ended their brief slide with a victorious team effort to get back on the winning track, and stay close to their Gold Division rivals.

John Devlin and Mike Sokolski both supplied most of the offense with three hits each, while Bob Dicicco, Ron DiVincenzo, and Jack Jackson all added two hits apiece, to carry Stone Meadow to a 6-2 triumph over the Naturals, and remain tied for second place in the Gold Division with a 4-3 record.

Dave Morris and Steve Weissman both had three hits, and Harvey Lowell and Jim Archambault both added two hits for the Naturals, which fell to 1-7 this season with the setback.

I drive by Alexander's Pizza in Dorchester whenever we go to the Polish store. Dorchester is totally the ghetto, so it's appropriate the Polish store is there, but it's not really the Ghetto.

Wouldn't it have to be a BIG ashtray? It doesn't seem to make sense to me...

And...what kind of a place has ashtrays? Maybe on the outside deck? Can you smoke inside in New York?

Jenkem is an alleged hallucinogenic recreational drug composed of noxious gas formed from fermented sewage.[1] In the mid to late 1990s, several reports stated that Jenkem was being used by Zambian street children.[1][2] In November 2007, anecdotal American media reports gave the impression that Jenkem was an actual, popular drug taking hold with American teenagers. Media reports were characterized by disbelief and distaste for the perceived abjection of the phenomenon.[3] Since November 2007, no new reports have appeared to corroborate the early speculations.

Several sources allege that this sudden spurt of reports in US popular media were based on a hoax (see section below). David Emery of About.com, popularly noted as an "urban legend guru"[3], concluded that news media reports that Jenkem was gaining a foothold as a substance of abuse among American youth were "based on faulty Internet research."[4]

The surfacing of the drug, or rumors of its existence, has caused at least one US municipality to amend its city ordinance regarding substances that cannot be legally inhaled to include organic substances
