Getting back to the original post--yes, I think it is easy to develop a pre-conceived image of a place and to avoid it. I'll admit that I've done it in the past. Hell, I used to not like Stratton or Stowe. But in both those cases I did eventually go there and I liked them for different reasons. I've spent several days at Stowe in fact. Same thing with Deer Valley.
I've learned that you need to give a place a fair shake before you judge it. And that like anything there are different strokes for different folks.
