I was surprised to see the two black diamond trails in the Highlands of Hunter East listed as open for much of the past week. The Poma lift serving those trails, while still on the trail map, is not included on the lifts & trails report and I thought it was no longer operational ? Is this a case of, like Sugarbush, they are listing trails as open even though there is no lift service ?
David Slutzky was one of the sculptures. They worked on this for years at the base of the mountain and had it moved to the top where it is now. Not far into the woods past the defunct Zipline start platform.Cool sculpture, never knew about it and will check it out.
Google says he's along the path that went to the top station of the Zipline, above Upper K27 about here:

you can get to it, sort of by the Otis lift. Poma is history.
