You can have a decent time at Okemo. Would I go out of my way to ski there, no.

It is the same as last year as far as the runs go. Oh and the orange thingy!

I was at the Canyons two weekend ago and the guy getting us tickets was raving about how they have the only heated orange chair thingy in the country ... he looked really disappointed when I had to set him straight.

The carpet load work awesome at Sugarloaf and Shawnee Peak in Maine. Wonder why it's such an issue at Okemo

The problem was they had it on the beginner lifts and they kept stopping the lifts which also stopped the carpet. We we getting off and the stopped when we were right at the beginning of the carpet. The liftie just stared at us so we just kinda walked awkwardly all the way to the end. We almost fell over getting on as well because the lift stopped right after the gates opened and we skied onto the carpet

Yeah like I said I'm very glad it was a free ticket. If I had paid full price for that day I would have been pissed. The guy we skied with in the afternoon's brother is pretty high up at k2 and line and got a bunch of free tickets so it worked out nicely

Ha. I will say the amount of grooming there brought a tear to my eye but the woods were actually quite good. They few ungroomed trails weren't too bad either. The top of Big Bang was really nice and outrage was great considering the shitty cold and wind
