Downloaded it last night. The speed difference is noticable (using Vista). I have a quibble or 2 but I'm still figuring out what it can do. Overall, I'm pleased so far.

Most of us that work for large soulless corporations have no choice in the matter. I upgraded to IE9 last week, and I like it a lot. It's very minimalist, which appeals to me.

Yeah, there's a certain lack of glitz that pleases me as well. Not having used FF or Chrome, I'm assuming IE ripped this off from one or both of them but I approve.

I've been using it for a few months now (started with Beta). I like it.

I have a question concerning the shared space between the address bar and search field. Let's say you search for something, then click on a link and go several clicks into the site; and then decided you want to go right back to the search results page. The address/search field is showing the web address of your current page, so you can't just click the magnifying glass symbol next to the dedicated search field to get there so you are doing multiple back clicks to get to where you want to go. What am I missing here?

Right click the back button is one option. I like being able to search using the address bar, but would like the dedicated search field back.

People still use IE?

We had learning session yesterday where a guy was demoing some Web software...

He had the new beta Firefox... Crashed almost immediately..
Switched to IE it hung...
Switched to Chrome - it worked but had a couple little display issues..

I asked him if he had Opera...

Chrome is nice, but one thing I didn't like about it, each tab opens a separate instance of the browser in effect using more computer resources. I found that after awhile this will lead to issues/crashes. RockMelt is built on Chrome, but for some reason it seems to handle resources better.

I'll check it out...

i like my browsers simple and fast.. I'll let the intelligence get built into the APP..

Sounds like it was poorly written software.
