I think it's unlikely that I'll get any turns in before then. Nov 1 would be a miracle.

Let's call it a worst-case count-down.

I always try to think of August 1 as the start of the 90 day countdown.

As unlikely as it is that we will ski on November 1, the opportunity to do so will most likely exist somewhere in the east.

Wow, I feel like sorting through equipment, packing it up, and getting it ready.

Soon.

I get to look at mine every day. :D My skis are hung on the living room wall, my boot bag is in the kitchen, Brian's skis are in the kitchen... daily reminders of what's coming! :daffy:

My Jones is on, too. I set up a bunch of car rental reservations, looked at flights out West, and started mapping out the season today. The Ivy on our building is starting to yellow...does that mean the Fall is coming?

August is always the turning point. In a few weeks, the Buyers Guides will hit the news stands. I'll have to hit the local shop to BS and scope out new gear.

Oh, weather for southern VT this weekend....lows in the mid 50's at night. Saaaaaaaaaaaweet!

I'm starting to get pumped. Well past the mid point of the off-season. Hoping the relatively cool/wet pattern keeps going through the winter.

Last night was like Fall in RI. I'm going to have to take my latest skis in to the shop to get set up for my boots. Hopefully this season will begin the day after Thanksgiving at Sundown like last year did, minus the collarbone caper of course.
